Cocktails for the Color Challenge

Today I am sharing a 4″ x 4″ square card I created for the Just Add Ink Color challenge! When I first saw the colors for the challenge I immediately thought about Cocktails!

This card was quick and simple to make, I used the Nothing’s Better Than stamp and coordinating dies from Stampin’ Up!. I used the line stamp in the Rainbows of Happiness stamp set to give the cocktail glasses a base of color to sit on. Of course I added small splatter with my Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker.

I die cut 3 layers of the word cocktail, 2 in Basic Black and one in Polished Pink, then glued them together to give the words height. I was going to put the Polished Pink layer on top but decided I wanted it to be the shadow.

One of the neat parts about this set is it has a coordinating stamps for the inside piece’s, one for the drink, lemon and umbrella. I used the stamp for the umbrellas and the inside of the drink, I think the ice cube detail is a fun touch. I colored the stem of the glass and lemon with my Stampin’ Blends to be able to have a darker and lighter look.

What a fun card to attach to a bottle of your bestie’s favorite drink as a thinking of you gift! Haha can you just imagine? Because I can. Happy Crafting!

I hope you enjoyed this card! Let me know by leaving a comment, and if you are in the United States and don’t have a demonstrator I would love to fill the position!
